It was simply, Ray Harris and Harry Colon said, a way to thank their customers and give back to the community. Harris, the owner of Xclusive Music at 256 W. Philadelphia St., and Colon, owner of Da Underground at 683 E. Market St., hosted the community cookout at Albermarle Park. We’ve been looking forward to this since Joe dropped the super smash “Trunk Rattle” (Remix) a couple of weeks back. Now the full EP is here, mixed by Statik Selektah and with features from Diz Gibran, Carlitta Durand, Evidence, as well as the “Trunk Rattle” trio of Naledge, Mistah Fab and Freddie Gibbs. And of course, the production was handled by some noteworthy musicians such as Khrysis, Sid Roams and Beatnick Dee.
